New Age flute

Grammy award-winning flutist Rhonda Larson (pictured below) and her band Ventus will stage a New Age-style concert at Xinghai Concert Hall. More than 10 kinds of flutes will be played. Larson's music merges soulful elements of sacred, folk, medieval, classical and Celtic music. To strengthen her power of expression, the Montana native practices at the top of a mountain. Larson has a discography of more than 20 recordings and has performed worldwide. She has also recorded a variety of flute music for the popular CBS TV series Survivor.

The aging of love

Andre and Dorine (pictured above) is a silent theater show by Kulunka Teatro, a group from Spain. Actors wear masks to tell the story of an old couple, who like many others, gently decay from routine and neglect, with passion for each other once so huge now fading into indifference. With no words, it's uplifting and thought-provoking as it explores important themes with warmth and humor.
