2015 Scholarship Trip for foreign students
The annual scholarship trip for foreign students of China cultural center kicked off in Beijing on August, facilitating deep cultural exchange. Around 60 foreign talents from China cultural centers in 16 countries, including Mauritius, Benin, France, Germany, South Korea and Pakistan, spent 11 days traveling around China and interacting with the locals. A series of cultural activities were held, including a shadow puppet show, Sichuan face switching show, Chinese calligraphy and a paper-cutting workshop.
Launched in 2004 by Chinese Ministry of Culture, the scholarship trip for foreign students is aimed at working together with overseas Chinese cultural centers in improving students interest in learning Chinese language and culture. After visiting cultural museums and Chinese characteristic architecture, leaning traditional handworks such as paper cutting and listening to lectures, students understand more about Chinese culture, which plays an important role for introducing Chinese culture to the world.
