The 3rd session of Latin American and Caribbean Arts Season
As a highlight of the Meet in Beijing Art Festival 2015, the third session of the Latin American and Caribbean Arts Season brought the exotic Latin culture to the capital. A series of activities were held under the theme, including dance gala, music festival, exhibitions and performances.
With the theme "Share the Beauty: Exhibition of the Contemporary art of Latin America", a exhibition kicked off at the China Millennium Monument Beijing on May 5, 2015, which showcased about 140 paintings and photographs from nine countries in Latin America that explore its picturesque landscape, history, tradition, societies and diversified culture.
The Dance Gala of Latin American and Caribbean Arts Season was staged at the Beijing Minzu Theater on May 7, 2015. The gala consists of tango, rumba, Chacha and Salsa, as well as folk music from Latin American countries including Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, Chile and Peru.
Culture is one of the most significant ties for promoting mutual understanding and motivating communication and cooperation between China and Latin America. It is also the indispensible element for building a healthy development of relations between China and Latin America.
