Mora Godoy, an established dancer and choreographer of the Argentine tango, will return to China with shows in Beijing and Shanghai from Oct 1-6.

Along with 10 dancers from Mora Godoy Tango Company, which she founded over 10 years ago, Godoy will present Bailando Tango Remix, a show that combines the traditional Argentine tango with the contemporary dance.

Covering all styles of tango and a fusion of techniques, speed and acrobatics, the show also embodies the spirit of Buenos Aires with music.

Hits from Bajofondo, a South American music band, which consisting of eight musicians from Argentina and Uruguay, will be used in Bailando Tango Remix.

Godoy and her company has visited China often since its debut tour here in 2003. During her upcoming tour, Godoy will perform her new choreographic work, which she made specially for China.

Hailed as "the queen of tango", Godoy studied classical ballet in Argentina and Russia, and performed as a solo ballerina when she started to study and practice tango in the early 1990s.

After 15 years of classical ballet training, Godoy turned to jazz dance in 1990.
