Yuanfudao launches AI-powered science education product

Chinese online education startup Yuanfudao launched its latest science education product recently, as education companies seek transformation amid the country’s latest reforms in the sector.

The new product is focused on STEAM—science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics. Literally translated as Pumpkin Science, it enables kids to do hands-on science exploration with interactive AI content.

STEAM education has recently been a hot spot in the country, as it is widely considered an effective way for students to think critically to solve real-life problems.

According to Ma Bin, head of Pumpkin Science, the biggest aim for such products is to empower kids to explore living knowledge themselves.

"The product is also embedded with AI voice recognition, so that kids can orally stop the online class while doing the experiments, to suit their own pace," he added.
