How mountainous villages in China climbed out of poverty

Wang Xiuying is a resident of Yayan village, Wuxiang county. She and her husband, Dong Fengtang, are busy taking care of their farmland, raising chickens and herding sheep. Along with the civil assistance they enjoy, their annual income reached 14,000 yuan in 2018. Wang said their life has been great thanks to the China's beneficial civil policies.
