Liu Zhongxiu is a resident of Xibei village, Lucheng district in Changzhi. His family of five now plant corn, but once lived a difficult life.

After Liu was struck with a disability in 2011, his family received assistance from local government.

Now Liu's family operates a local farmhouse resort. All of his children found jobs after they participated in the technical skill training sessions for poor households.
