CANBERRA - Athletics Australia Wednesday announced  a 54-strong team to compete at the London Olympics next month:

Men

800m: Jeff Riseley

1500m: Ryan Gregson, Jeff Riseley

5000m: Collis Birmingham, David McNeill, Craig Mottram

10000m: Ben St Lawrence

Marathon: Martin Dent, Jeff Hunt, Michael Shelley

3000m steeplechase: Youcef Abdi

400m hurdles: Brendan Cole, Tristan Thomas

20km walk: Chris Erickson, Adam Rutter, Jared Tallent

50km walk: Luke Adams, Nathan Deakes, Jared Tallent

Long jump: Henry Frayne, Mitchell Watt

Triple jump: Henry Frayne

Pole vault: Steven Hooker

Shot put: Dale Stevenson

Discus: Benn Harradine, Scott Martin, Julian Wruck

Javelin: Jarrod Bannister

4x100m relay: Anthony Alozie, Tim Leathart, Andrew McCabe, Isaac Ntiamoah, Josh Ross
