Tickets are not required for around 90% of the Triathlon route, so spectators will be able to watch the event for free both inside and outside Hyde Park. It is expected that this event will see the streets of London, from Hyde Park to Buckingham Palace, packed with millions of passionate fans.
The Triathlon route has many excellent vantage points close to some architecturally stunning and iconic buildings, such as Wellington Arch and Buckingham Palace. Triathlon is an outdoor event so spectators should come prepared for all weather conditions.
Due to road closures, parking suspensions and the large numbers of spectators anticipated, London 2012 is encouraging people to walk, cycle or use public transport to make access to the event as easy as possible. Spectators who are travelling from further afield should book early and stay in local accommodation.
Further information on watching the Triathlon events, including maps, travel advice and top tips for spectators, will be posted on these pages closer to the Games – so keep checking back for details.
