China will train more young shooters

BEIJING - "Chinese shooting team has done a good job during the Olympics and will devote more efforts to train more young shooting athletes in the future," said Wang Yifu, coach of the Chinese national shooting team, who returned home on Wednesday.

"I feel comfortable as we have reaped fruitful results at London Olympics, winning the first gold medal of the Games," Wang said.

"Though we are proud of the achievements we have made in London, we will dedicate more efforts to bring up more young athletes in shooting," Wang said confidently.

Wang said China shooting team will enhance basic training for young shooters so as to cultivate more talents in this regard.

The Chinese shooting team got a total of seven medals, including two gold, two silver and three bronze medals during the London Olympics with Yi Siling taking the first gold medal of the London Olympics in the women's 10m air rifle.
